Biography:

Mary began on the French horn at age 10 and thus began a lifelong passion for music. Taking private lessons through high school while participating in the Tacoma Youth Symphony Association, participating in every ensemble available at Central Washington University on multiple instruments, and serving as a seated musician in the Mid Columbia Symphony have all added to her wealth of knowledge in music and performing. She has been an active music educator for the last 7 years in the Lower Yakima Valley in Washington before her recent move to Oak Harbor where she looks forward to diving head first into the local music scene.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Music, a Bachelor of Music Education, and a Master of Education in Instructional Design, Mary has trained thoroughly to become a teacher of all ages and backgrounds. Having taught at a variety of levels in public education, she is dedicated to helping musicians of all levels improve their fundamentals, musicality, and to foster a lifelong love of music in her students.
